North West Asian Business Association have been collaborating with other northern Asian business associations from Yorkshire and North East for over 18 months to develop a strategy to galvanize the whole of the North, to help tackle and address the North/South divide.
The launch of the Federation of Asian Business which was attended by Ridwan, Shakeel, Imran from NWABA, Amarjit, Ajaz from YABA took place in Newcastle on July 14th at the Beacon on Westgate Road at the 7th Asian Business Connexions Awards Dinner.
Tonight, the NWABA team will be attending the prestigious Yorkshire Asian Business Awards:
‘We are delighted to be supporting the Yorkshire Asian Business Awards’, said Ridwan Asmal, Director, NWABA and one of the judges on the YABA Awards judging panel.
Asian Business Support organisations from Yorkshire and the North West & North East recognise the significant impact of Asian Businesses to date, which is more developed in all aspects of business and community support. The team will be driving forward an agenda of social and economic growth.
The immediate goal is to form a single collaborative voice for all Asian businesses across the North of England, the Federation of Asian Businesses, followed by a plan of action that will help enhance the major impact Asian businesses already make on the UK economy. This will in turn help foster better community relations and improve social cohesion and education.
Given the recent referendum results and the current confusion, divisiveness and despair, the Federation of Asian Business will provide a unique and exciting opportunity to bring communities and businesses together to demonstrate the positive impact that collaboration can make.
